Dorothy Ann Raymond Caldwell passed away Wednesday, May 6th in El Paso, Texas. A loving wife, mother, teacher and friend, she will be remembered for her zest for living, her spirit, drive and the enjoyment she brought to her family and friends. She taught her children and grandchildren to love and serve the Lord. She graduated from El Paso High School in 1939. She was dedicated to life-long learning for herself and those around her. She initially taught at Crockett School and after her own kids were in school, she taught first and second grades at Morehead and Lamar Elementary schools for 27 years. After retirement, she volunteered to read to students at Lamar and St. Clements Parish School. Dorothy valued family and service to her church. She was very involved at the Church of St. Clement, serving for a time on the vestry, the mission board, the altar guild, prison ministries, teaching Sunday School, and participating in bible studies, and mission trips to Mexico. She loved gardening and took her harvest of flowers and fruit to share with all of her friends and family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son Charles Stephen Caldwell, wife Lilly and children of El Paso, TX; her daughter Jane Caldwell Peacock, husband Francis and children of Santa Fe, NM; her daughter Julie Caldwell Owen, husband William and children of El Paso, TX; her son William Raymond Caldwell, wife Deborah and children of Las Cruces, NM. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of St. Clement, 810 N. Campbell St., in El Paso TX on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery on McNutt Rd.
