Doris Christine Bone

Doris Christine Bone (June 21, 1930 - December 10, 2010) Doris Christine Bone, 80, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Frieda Kristine Armor and Sarah Jane Bennett; grandsons, Richard Armor and Anthony Holguin; son-in-laws, Rick Armor and Max Bennett; brothers, Roger Moore and Danny Moore; and sister Betty Williams. Born in 1930, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Christine was the eldest child of Dan and Mildred Moore. She grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated from Lawton High School in 1948. Christine met Fred A. Bone, Jr. and they married in 1951. They made their home in El Paso, Texas where Christine worked as a bookkeeper at Momsen, Dunagen and Ryan and Southern Union Gas Company. She volunteered with several organizations in the El Paso community and spent many years serving in her church, PTA, Girl Scouts, Eastside Welcome Club, Discover El Paso, Red Hat Society, and TOPS. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15 at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N. Carolina. The funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Scotsdale Baptist Church, 10015 Lockerbie, followed by a graveside service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. There will be a reception at 2:00 p.m. at Scotsdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to The American Thyroid Association.
