Donald D. Swope

Donald “Don” Swope, 81, born on July 5, 1927 in Oakland, California went home to join the Lord on August 26, 2008. He retired from the Army and Civil Service. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Swope and sister, Marjorie Parry. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 29, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Dr. Rebecca B. Whitaker from Highland Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral homes-Northeast.
