Domitila Rojo

Domitila “Domi” Rojo, 80, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2008. She was born in Jerome, Arizona, lived in Jalisco, Chihuahua and Juarez, Mexico. The last 35 ½ years of her life she called El Paso home. A quiet person by nature, she expressed her love for her family and friends by helping in any way she could. She was a meticulous person in her appearance and in her spotless, cozy home. She composed many beautiful poems, and she loved working on her flowerbeds in her impeccable front yard. She loved the company of her family and she cherished the friendship of her lady friends. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and their accomplishments. She is survived by her daughters; Leticia M. Gates, Silvia Rojo Armijo, Ma. de Lourdes Rojo Fernandez, Laura Wiener., her son; Dr. Javier Rojo, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, brothers and sisters and a granddaughter. Visitation will be on Monday, February 18, 2008, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. with a Rosary at 7:00 pm the same day, in the Chapel of Remembrance at Sunset Funeral Homes West. 480 N. Resler Dr. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Matthew Catholic Parish at 400 W. Sunset Dr. Funeral procession will follow to Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, N.M. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her favorite charity, Candlelighters of El Paso.
