Dolores Parra

Dolores Calderon Parra, 49, of El Paso, Texas went to be with our Lord on January 7, 2011. Dolores or “Lola” as most people came to know her, exemplified how to love and care for other people despite the pain she was continuously in. She was born on January 13, 1961, and was a devoted mother to her children John, Rosendo, and Lisa Parra; grandmother to Brianna, Ashylee, Ashynn, Serena, Johnny, and Amelia Parra. She is also survived by her mother, four brothers and three sisters. Lola always welcomed people with open arms and an open heart. Her love of food and passion for talking always made it a joy for someone to visit her at home. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege to meet her, But most of all, she will be remembered by all those whose lives she impacted in a positive way. “We Love You Mom”. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will be Private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Americas.
