A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend, Dolores T. Hutchinson, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 23, 1956, in El Paso, Texas, to Ernesto and Rafaela Torres, Dolores was the youngest of sixteen children. Her childhood was filled with love, faith, and the warmth of a large, close-knit family, whose values remained at the core of her life.
A devout Catholic, Dolores was a woman of unwavering faith and prayer, which guided her throughout her life. She lived by example, always turning to prayer in times of joy and hardship, and her deep spirituality served as an anchor for her family and all who knew her.
On July 31, 1981, Dolores married the love of her life, Marion A. Hutchinson Jr. (Rick), and together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and faith. Their home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love—a reflection of Dolores’ generous spirit.
Dolores and Rick were blessed with two children, Matthew T. Hutchinson (wife Laura Hutchinson) and Jessie D. Hutchinson, both of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was a devoted grandmother to Ethan Hutchinson and Madi Hutchinson and a great grandmother to Spencer Hutchinson, who brought an extra sparkle to her eyes. While she longed to hold her newest great grandchild in her arms, she cherished the moments they shared over FaceTime, her love always reaching across any distance.
Beyond her dedication to family, Dolores was a lifelong learner who earned her associate degree and instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of education, perseverance, and hard work. She was known for her kind heart, gentle strength, and unwavering support, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Dolores had a deep passion for helping others—whether through her involvement in her church, her quiet acts of kindness, or simply being a listening ear for those in need. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Rafaela Torres, and several beloved siblings, who surely welcomed her into Heaven with open arms.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Rick Hutchinson, her children, Matt (wife Laura) and Jessie Hutchinson, grandchildren, Ethan and Madi Hutchinson, great grandchild, Spencer Hutchinson, siblings, Tina Jordan, Manny Torres, Francis Lee, Betty Cabrera. Dolores has a god daughter, April Gandara, who she loved dearly with all her heart. She had a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
