Dolores E. Cruz

Dolores E. Cruz passed away at her home of 56 years on December 29, 2018. Dolores was born on September 18, 1924 in Zambales Philippines. She married Roger B. Cruz in 1943 and they later laid down roots in El Paso in 1962. She was a loving and dedicated mother, wife, grand-mother and great-grandmother. Dolores had an exceptional green thumb and a beautiful flower/vegetable garden, even admired by passersby who would get a flower or seeds if they asked. She loved spending time in the kitchen preparing traditional Filipino meals for friends and loved ones, often times with the vegetables she had grown herself. She is preceded in death by her husband. Left to honor Dolores and cherish her love are her four children and their spouses: Joey (Nita Jean), Roger (Lorraine), Cesar (Lee) and Santiago, five grand-children: Amy, Amanda, Joshua, Paul and Kelly; and nine great-grandchildren: Alexys, Alexandria, Alana, Gavin, Nathan, Keira, Bradley, Zachary and Kai. A rosary/viewing will be held on January 6, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes- 4631 Hondo Pass. The mass will be on January 7, 2019 at 9:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Parish- 9025 Diana Dr. with burial to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
