Dolly Ruth Hicks Vandenbosch

Dolly Ruth Hicks VandenBosch, 80, passed away April 7, 2016. A longtime resident of El Paso, she spent her childhood in Tennessee. She was the 8th of 9 children of Fred and Hazel Hicks. Dolly held many jobs throughout her lifetime, but she seemed to be most proud of working at Photon Electric, which became Cherry Display Products, and all the people she worked with there. She will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Hazel Hicks of Tennessee, brothers Bill Hicks, Snook Hicks and Jay Hicks, and sisters Elizabeth Young, Nelva “Red” Patrick and Josephine Cobble. She is survived by her husband, John VandenBosch, Sr., son John VandenBosch, Jr., daughter Jennifer VandenBosch-Wallen, son in law R. Craig Wallen and her beloved granddaughter Sarah “Sarah Jane” Jacquelyn Amanda Wallen, brother Fred Hicks (Hazel) and many nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00AM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Private Inurnment will be held privately by family.
