Diane Upchurch

Diane Upchurch, age 92, joined her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 10, 2024. Diane is preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence Maynard Jensen and Josephine Blackiston Smith, and her beloved husband of 50 years: Waylon Cline Upchurch who entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2008. She is survived by her brother: Lawrence (Buddy) M. Jensen Jr. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.

Diane was an outgoing, fun, and witty soul with a very spunky personality. She enjoyed others and lived life to the fullest. Diane was a deep seeded Christian lady who loved the Lord with all her heart. She had a sweet and loving relationship with her husband, Waylon, and was a wonderful life-long caregiver to her beloved brother, Buddy. Diane enjoyed her Christian radio programs and traveling with Waylon to visit family in North Carolina and to their cabin in Ruidoso. Diane’s vocation was that of an educator, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and devotion.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
