Dewayne Williams

Dewayne Williams was born on July 12, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Iola Williams and Earnest Taylor, Sr. but Ernest preceded him in death. He departed this life on Thursday, October 22, 2009 in the Intensive Care Unit of William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He attended Walter Scott School and Hyde Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. He later joined the United States Army at the age of 17. He then retired as a Disabled Veteran with the rank of E-5 (Sgt.). He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ramona Williams and his mother Iola Williams of Lansing, Illinois. Two sons: Dewayne and Jaime Williams. Three daughters, Melinda, Janet and Laura Williams all of El Paso, Texas. One Brother Torrence Williams of Portland, Oregon. Two sisters Ruth Wyleen Taylor-Brooks (Steven) of Lansing, Illinois and Paulette Curtis of Beloit, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 26, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment will follow with full Military Honors at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
