DEVARUE D. COLVIN passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the age of 81. He served our country proudly during the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Marine Corp. He retired from the United States Government as a Correctional Counselor and as a Court Security Officer contracted to the U.S. Marshal’s Service. He was preceded in death by his brother Bob Colvin and his sister MaryLou Mayfield. He is survived by his loving wife Belen Chacon Colvin, his loving daughters; Monica Sue Bustamante (Javier), Belenda Ann Pacheco (Jorge), Brenda Lynn Rivera (David), Ramona Rivera (Michael), Odile Lee Colvin, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, his brother John Colvin. Holy Rosary will be at11:30 am with the Funeral Mass at 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 400 W. Sunset Rd., with Msgr. Fierro officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30PM, with Marine Honors. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.
