Denise Ann Wheeler

Denise Ann Wheeler, 64, passed from this life on December 10, 2021, in Horseshoe Bay, TX. She was born in 1957 to Jimmie and Williamae Harber in Odessa, TX. Denise married the love of her life Michael Wheeler on August 25, 1979, at Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa, TX. Denise was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother to her family. She was a graduate of Permian High School, class of 1975. She touched many lives through her career; from Mark Knox Flowers, Anchor Bolt & Screw to Complex Community Federal Credit Union in Odessa, TX, where she retired and made the move to the hill country of Texas, that she loved. Denise was very much involved in the American Legion in Odessa, TX; Post 430 and Kingsland, TX Post 437; serving as president of the Ladies Auxiliary in Kingsland, TX and as the 21st District vice president. She genuinely enjoyed her travels with the American Legion Riders Post 430 and the Harley Davidson Owners group of Midland/Odessa. Many will miss her sincere generosity to those in need and her exceptional baking and cooking skills. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Michael Wheeler of Horseshoe Bay, TX; mother, Williamae Harber of Horseshoe Bay, TX; son, Russell Wheeler (wife Amy) of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Alanea Harman (husband Douglas) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Brooks, Beckett, and Finley Wheeler, as well as several other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Rex Harber; grandfather, Truman E. Jenkins; mother-in-law, Loraine Wheeler; father-in-law, George Wheeler and brother-in-law, Randy Wheeler. A visitation will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, TX. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 10:00 am at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, TX. Burial will take place Tuesday; January 4th, 2022; 11:00am MST at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in EI Paso, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, TX.
