Delores Kay Shaw was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on January 10, 1937. Daughter of Paul and Pauline Shaw, De grew up with her brothers, Troy and Snick, (Richard) and her sister Giggles, (Gloria) in Planeview, Kansas. After graduating from Planeview High School, she joined the army and eventually served at NORAD as a teletype operator. De learned many interesting trades and skills during her life. She loved to drive cars, semi-trucks and even school buses! She was a skilled seamstress and loved to quilt. She was a business owner and ran her own hair salon. She had a passion for foreign films, popcorn, dogs and was always ready with a clever pun. De was an active member of her community. She served as Star Recorder of the Moose Lodge in Concord, California and with her sister, Gig, built homes for Habitat for Humanity. She loved family and they had many adventures together, like sailing in hot air balloons and road trips to Monterrey. She spent the last years of her life as a caregiver for her mom, sister and brother, whom she loved very much. De is survived by her sister Jan and her children Marcel, Allison, Alex and Ursula, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
