Deidra Angela Engleton

Deidre Angela Engleton was born December 16, 1967 in Washington, D. C. She was the daughter of Lorraine M. Anderson and Karl E. Anderson. She departed this life into eternal rest on Thursday, June 16, 2011. Diedre, a graduate of Irvin High School and Aladdin Beauty College became a fabulously gifted hair stylist, touching many lives with her bubbly personality, entrepreneurial spirit, and unique creativity. A loving, devoted mother, sister and daughter, she will always be remembered for being straight to the point. She was a faithful member and Usher Team Leader at Destiny Family Christian Center. Her presence will be sorely missed. She leaves to cherish her memory; mother Lorraine Anderson; daughters, Jasmine Engleton and Shawna Powell; sisters, Alicia Anderson, Jorgette Brown, Vicki Anderson, and Jackie Walker; brothers, Andre Beale, Jerome Walker, Victor Walker, Michael Dickerson and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday June 24, 2011 at Destiny Family Christian Center with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
