Our beloved Sister Debra Kay Pillow born at Fort Knox, KY on 07/05/1952, passed away 11/16/2009. Debbie moved to El Paso with her parents in 1957 and attended schools here and graduated from UTEP. She was Teacher for the San Elizario School District for 15 years and truly loved teaching her students and watching them grow. Her out going personality, enthusiasm, big heart and a genuine willingness to help others are things that will be remembered by everyone whose lives she touched. Debbie would go to extremes to help others when they needed it most. So many times she would buy things that her friends were selling to help them out and would pass them along to Family and friends, but still managed to have a house full of things from holiday decorations to cases of Vitamins. She would always say that she was just trying to help others. Every year on her birthday her only request was for her mom to make Biscuits and gravy for her. Debbie loved watching the Green Bay Packers and Brett Farve play football on Sundays, especially when they played the cowboys. She was always cheering the loudest whether they were winning or losing and made watching football, as well as life a lot of fun. Debbie also loved listening to hard rock music, especially Metallica, and being with her family and friends, Debbie touched the lives of so many people from all walks of life and any one who met her will always remember her for the smile on her face, her big heart and her love for life. She is survived by her parents Walter and Vernon Pillow of San Antonio, TX, brother Dennis and wife Janice of El Paso, TX, brother Michael and wife Colleen of Boerne, TX, and sister Veronica (Missy) and husband Eric Wagner of San Antonio, TX.
