Deborah Ann Provencio, 64, died peacefully in her home on February 2, surrounded by those she loved and covered with the mercy of Christ. After a 10-year struggle with cancer, she is mercifully returned to the loving arms of God and His everlasting peace.
Debby is preceded in death by her brother Ernie Diaz, and she is survived by her husband Gilbert Provencio; her parents Dimas and Lilia Diaz; her brothers Luis Diaz and Dimas Diaz; her sister Angelic Necoechea; her children Angelic Toy and Gilbert Provencio; her treasured grandchildren; and an extended family who loved her dearly.
Debby's greatest accomplishments in life were not evidenced by grand or outwardly ambitious works, but the small, humble and graceful little ways she always showed kindness, patience and love. Through her long illness, Debby allowed us to forget she was sick. Her bright white smile, refusal to complain and her willingness to continue helping others, even in her weakness, are what made her strong. The greatest treasures she leaves her family are examples of true virtue and fruits of the Holy Spirit - faith, hope, courage and joy.
And so we pray, "Now, Master, you may let your faithful servant go in peace, according to your word," Luke 2:28.
