Davy Diaz

November 29, 1969 — May 11, 2013

Davy Diaz, beloved father, brother and son passed away on May 11, 2013. He was a graduate of Riverside High School and a good friend to so many. His contagious smile and charming personality never failed to turn any affair into a party. Davy’s sharp witted tongue and unrestrained humor were both insulting and endearing. His heart was always there, not only for his first loves in life--his children Sean and Bella, but for his family and friends. Never one to judge, he was always willing to listen and help in any way possible and oddly enough, his frankness seemed only to make others gravitate towards him even more. Davy was born on November 29, 1969 and grew to develop many lifelong friends with whom he shared his love of Raider football, Celtics basketball, beer, women and rockabilly music (not necessarily in that order). He lived in El Paso all of his life and spent most recent years living with his older brother with whom he was forced to engage in endless mind numbing hours of conversation from. (just kidding bro!) Davy was preceded in passing by his grandparents Jose and Rosa Chacon, and Paul and Bertha Diaz. He is survived by his children Sean Patrick and Isabella Mae Diaz; parents Abel and Olga Diaz, sisters, Betty Kilcrease and Olga Diaz Deslongchamps; brothers, Abel, Paul Henry, Joe, and Jerry Diaz; sister/aunt Blanca Rivera and husband Felix Rivera; sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine Diaz, Gaby Orona, Kyle Kilcrease and Alfredo Muela; nieces, Nicolette and Madison Diaz, Kelsey and Amanda Kilcrease, Alyda Muela and Vivian Orona, nephews, Dustin, godson Johnny and Joshua Deslongchamps, Cameron, Jake and Aiden Diaz, and great-nephew Dexter Gonzalez as well as numerous loved uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm with a Remembrance Service at Sunset Funeral Home-East at 7 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013. where all are welcome to join in sharing stories and memories of his eccentric escapades. You will live on in our hearts always and we will love and miss you dearly, “our beautiful chocolate man”. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home - East.
