David Valenzuela

David “El Beaver” Valenzuela born May 25, 1967 was called into heaven July 13, 2011. David was born in El Paso (Smelter Town), Texas and was an active member of the Catholic Church. He was a proud employee of E.P.I.S.D. for many years as a custodian at Hornedo M.S. and Western Hills Elementery School. David enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience about the history of El Paso, especially when it was known as Smelter Town. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Ana Valenzuela. David is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Yolanda Valenzuela, stepson Michael Hernandez (Amanda Payan), grandsons Julian A. Payan and Austin C. Hernandez. His brother Hector and Freddy Valenzuela, sisters Gloria Valenzuela and Terry Segovia along with many other extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 5:00-9:00PM at Sunset Funeral Homes-West, with a Vigil at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10:30AM at San Judas Catholic Church. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
