David Torres,

David Torres, Sr. “Tony”, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on January 20, 2018. Born in Juarez, Mexico on August 13, 1937. Naturalized as an American citizen September 17, 1959. Devoted husband and father served in the United States Marine Corps for the 19th Rifle company 2nd Battalion 4th Marines. Preceded in death by wife, Elvira Montes Torres, parents, Carlos and Guadalupe Torres. Survived by sons, Oscar Torres, Sr., David Torres, Jr., Antonio Torres, Sr. and Carlos Torres. Daughter, Laura Torres Ordoñez, sister, Elma Luna and first cousins Agustin Arroyo and Beatrice Diaz. Sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Grateful to Grace Point Wellness Center who helped and cared for our father. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 24, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
