David Gruby Reyes

Our beloved David “Gruby” Reyes at the age of 34, lost his life on May 23, 2009. Although he was robbed of his life, he will never be forgotten in the hearts of those who knew him. David was born on May 22, 1975 in El Paso Texas. David leaves a permanent imprint on the lives of everyone he encountered. His grin from ear to ear always filling our hearts with joy. He was very caring, loving, and fun spirited. Always being remembered for his cooking, love of cheese, and loyality to the L.A Lakers. David left a permanent imprint on the lives of all those lucky enough to know him. He is preceded in death by his father, Salvador C. Reyes, and grandfather, Aurelio Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving mother, Emilia G. Patterson; grandmother, Maria D. Gonzalez; brother, Salvador Reyes Jr., and sister-in-law, Christina Reyes, sisters; Claudia Reyes and Rosa Mazzone and brother-in-law, Henry Mazzone. He is also survived by his sons; Kameron Anthony and Damian Xavier, as well as 2 nephews, 3 nieces, 3 great-nephews, and 2 great-nieces. Not be forgotten and never thought less of, his extended family-aunts, uncles, cousins, and childhood lifelong friends. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm Friday, May 29, 2009 with a Vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East at 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 9 am Saturday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church 8011 Williamette Dr. Interment will be Private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
