On Thursday, 17 October, David Lynch stepped into the arms of Jesus to begin his new eternal life in heaven where there will be no more sorrow or disease.

David was born in Cambridgeshire, England, on Feb 12, 1954, while his family was stationed there with the US Air Force. They were then transferred to Williams AFB, Arizona and he grew up in nearby Mesa where he graduated from Westwood High School. After his graduation he joined the US Coast Guard in 1974 with his first duty station in Ketchikan, AK. He was then sent to Borinquen, Puerto Rico where he worked as a medic. After his service in the Coast Guard he used his GI Bill to attend Arizona State University where he earned his BSN. After becoming an RN he joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Hill AFB, UT where, at the base chapel, he met Carolyn, who later became his wife. After resigning from the Air Force he began a career working in various specialties in nursing that lasted almost 30 years. He and Carolyn made several moves during that time, retiring at Ft Bliss which was his father’s first duty station in 1931.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Virginia Lynch and brother, Jimmy Lynch. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carolyn, brother, Keith, and sisters, Sharon and Julia. He and Carolyn had numerous dogs throughout their married life and he loved each and every one of them. He always said they would be guarding his mansion in heaven! David loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he loved America, and loved seeing the huge American flag every time he drove by the Old Glory Memorial in NE El Paso.

His family would like to especially thank the management and staff at Goodlife Memory Care Center for their kind, compassionate, tireless care during his last week. We would also like to express our appreciation to his wonderful barber, Sukki, and to the ladies at the Freedom Crossing Taco Bell who always made him feel extra special.

The family plans to hold a celebration of life at a later date
