David A. Lujan David was called home by the Lord on March 11, 2012. He was born on June 27, 1920 in Smeltertown, Texas. He was the son of Jose and Rosa Lujan. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Juana , his brothers and sisters Luz, Jose, Angel, Frank, Paz, and Manuel. David is survived by his son David V. Lujan, Jr. and wife Yolanda; daughters Irene L. Lujan, and Margie L. Nevarez and husband Michael. He was blessed to have nine grandchildren, Sonia, Gabriel, Kenneth, Janie, Leticia, Melisa, Irene, Christopher, and Annette. The blessings continued with 11 great grandchildren Zachary, Nathan, Adrienne, Isaac, Alyssa, Nina, Ethan, Logan, Christian, Stella, and baby David on the way. And two little angels Alexandria and Zachary. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a machinist for Southwestern Portland Cement Co. for 40 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His passions were spending time with family, drawing pictures to be shared, dancing, and playing pool with friends at St. Juans Senior Center. The family would like to thank the outstanding staff of doctors and nurses at Sierra Providence Hospital East, E.R. and I.C.U. department for the excellent care and attention given. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm, Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil beginning at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, March 16, 2012 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
