David Gregory

David Gregory peacefully passed into God’s loving embrace on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 60. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed. Inspired by his parents, David became a lifelong educator. Upon graduation, he entered into the Education system for both the El Paso and Anthony Independent School Districts as Teacher, Coach, and Principal. It would be the role of father, however, that David would receive the highest merit. His love for education and the need for betterment transpired into the lives of his children. Blessed with two beautiful children, David knew that there was no better love than that of a parent for a child. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family and championed their dreams. He modeled his life after Paulo Coelho’s philosophy: “Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream”. This is the legacy that will be bestowed upon his children. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Henry Gregory, his sister Evelyn Aigbedion. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Ann Sparr, his children: Caitlin Nicole Gregory, Matthew David Gregory, and sister Margaret Green. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 5005 Love Road. Interment will follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery Sunland Park, New Mexico.
