David Michael Ash

David M. Ash, 66 passed away July 24, 2021. An El Paso native, he attended Burges and UTEP graduating with his Master's in Business Administration. He is preceded in death by his father Dr. Seymour Ash and his mother Margaret Jeanne Ash. David is survived by his wife of 26 years Helene, son David Ash Jr., daughter Anna; brother Robert B. Ash, wife Gloria, their children Kristen and Kelly. David began his career as an accountant at the El Paso Natural Gas Company. Later, David opened his own accounting firm, and helped every client no matter the problem. The people he served were more than clients, but his friends that he spent countless hours talking to, making him one of the most well-known CPAs in El Paso. His business laid the foundation for his son David Jr. to continue the practice. David was known throughout the community for his 30 plus years of work as a referee and service with the Sun Bowl. Perhaps closest to his heart was his work with the Knights of Columbus. David was a great son, brother, husband, and father, and was like family to everyone. He had a heart as big as Texas and will be dearly loved forever. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Visitation August 5th 5-8 PM, Rosary at 6 PM. Funeral Mass August 6th at 12 PM at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 12200 Vista Del Sol.
