Daniel Rene Baca, (Danny) entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in Anthony, Texas.
He was a wonderful son, much loved brother, uncle and a generous and kind-hearted friend. Preceded in death by his loving parents, The Honorable Jose Jesus Baca and Rebecca Escobar Baca, also survived by his loving siblings Jose Jesus Baca II, Bernadette Marie Cox (Stuart), Gabriel Martin Baca (Jenifer), step-mother Elaine Creighton-Baca. Adored by nephews Cory Carter, Christian & Marcus Baca, Gabriel Martin Baca II, niece Zoey Madeline Baca, chosen family Laura and Brian Hoover, (Tyler and Julia) as well as many cousins, many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends who will always cherish his memory.
Born January 31, 1975 in El Paso, Texas, he graduated from Coronado High School in 1993. He then attended UTEP and studied geology.
Always an adventurer, Danny was never afraid to do anything and traveled solo extensively. He visited Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and had just returned from a month-long stint in the Philippines.
Never afraid to share his opinion about anything, he did so, often. Passionate about politics, environmental issues, bees and horticulture, he could and would discuss any subject with anyone.
Danny was extremely intelligent, creative and inventive. What began as a hobby, blossomed into his dream when he moved to the family property in Anthony with the intent to expand his bee colonies. He realized his dream, founding Rainbow Lake Apiary, whose honey is legendary and delicious.
There is no mistaking Danny’s fabulous belly laugh. He laughed loudly and often. When Danny laughed, everyone laughed. Many people experienced his unique sense of humor, his dares and his pranks. Everyone has a Danny story.
Danny had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He would share everything he had with anyone.
Thoughtful, generous and so loved, his unmistakable smile is devious and infectious. He will be missed.
