Daniel Zavala

Our beloved Daniel Zavala passed away on September 27, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. He was a humble man with a kind heart and gentle personality who loved his family. His unique sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to those close to him. In his young days as a member of the Delta Boys Club boxing team “El Champ” won two back to back Golden Glove titles. Danny was talented in auto mechanics which was something he enjoyed doing. He could fix just about anything. He was often sought out by family and friends and was willing to lend a helping hand. Cherishing his memory are parents Jesus Jose Sr. and Emma, daughters Crystal, April, grandson Elijah. Siblings Linda, Jesus Jr., Rudy, Grace, Norma, David, Robert, Fernie, numerous nieces, nephews and girlfriend Yolie. Our memories with him are treasures we hold in our hearts. Danny is now reunited with siblings Gilbert, Sylvia and Elvia. Although you are gone you will never be forgotten. Your spirit will continue to live on through your daughters and precious grandson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Our Lady of the Light-Delta. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-East.
