Daniel G. Ramsey

Daniel G. Ramsey was born in Sikeston, Missouri, on March 2, 1936 but his home was El Paso, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2010 surrounded by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, sister, brother-in-law and nephew. Dan loved his service career. He served in the US Army for 20 years and retired in October 1975. He also worked for Civil Service for 17 years before he retired in 1992. Dan enjoyed playing country music tremendously. While he was stationed in Paris, France he played with the Paris Playboys Band for two years. Dan loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a big heart full of love and caring. He never hesitated to help others. He never met a stranger. He loved to talk to people. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his family. Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his son, Danny Ramsey Jr. He is survived by loving wife Arom Ramsey; sons: Howard Wayne Ramsey and Jimmy Ramsey; daughters: Margaret Ann Schneider, Sandi Wright, Aranya De Sola; sister: Marcia Bennett, many grandchildren and his two loving dogs Sam and Poopzie. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
