Daniel Mata Sr.

Daniel Mata, 55, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in the arms of his son and wife. He was born on November 12, 1966 in El Paso, TX. He is survived by his wife Marisela, children Yudith Palacios, Daniel Mata Jr, and Daniel Mata III. He had eight grandchildren; Amaris, America, Jamito, Shaggy, Webster, La Sherry, Miklo, and Mia. He is also survived by his brothers, Alberto and Lorenzo III, and sisters, Rachel and Alicia. Daniel Mata worked and retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family and was always there for us. Pallbearers will be immediate family. Visitation 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Saturday, January 08, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 10, 2022 at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
