Daniel Reed Brott, 69, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Daniel was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 11, 1949. He graduated from St. Cecilia High School and left to serve his country in the United States Army. Daniel would later marry the love of his life in 1982, Kiyoko Yamashita.
After retiring from the Army, Daniel spent 13 years working for the United States Postal Service. He also spent time substituting as a teacher at Andress High school after retiring from the postal service. Daniel loved to travel with his RV family with his wife by his side. During his down time he enjoyed doing woodwork and making gifts for family and friends. His friendliness and kindness touch many lives, he will be greatly missed.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; Frances Hernandes and Anita Brott. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years Kiyoko Brott, sisters; Anita (Brott) Lamprecht and Annette Hernandes; nephews, Mgs Jody, Billy, LeRoy and Ronom; nieces, Traci, Tona and Saprina. He also leaves behind step-son John; grandchildren, Veronica, Sheila, Johnny, Samantha, and Erika; along with 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary beginning at 7:00pm on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Scripture Service will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
