Curtis Dean Russell, 50, beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in El Paso, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 20, 1960 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl LeRay Russell. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Dianne Russell; his son, Kevin Russell; mother, Bonnie Russell; brother, Terry Russell and his wife, Debbie; and sister, Wendy Deaton and her husband Herb. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired in 1997 in El Paso, Texas where he owned and operated the Iron Horse Saloon. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast on Monday, January 10, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Procession with the “Patriot Guard” will begin at Sunset Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by the Committal Service at 9:00 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Disabled American Veterans organization, http://www.dav.org. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas 79904. We are thankful that you are no longer in pain, and we know we will see you again one day.
