Curtis Leslie Hemme

Curtis L. Hemme Passed away on Friday, February 24th at the respectful age of 79, surrounded by his loving family at his home in El Paso, Texas. Curt lived a very diverse and interesting life, and what more can prove this than through his diverse employment history. Curt worked a better part of his life as a Law enforcement officer for the Tucson police department. During these years of working as an officer, Curt protected the community and was involved in many operations that made a tremendous difference to not only the Tucson community but for the entire borderland. After many years of serving as a police officer, Curt pursued his passion in life and became a rancher and owner of his own guest ranch in Tucson, Arizona. It was during these ranching years that Curt was able to work with the horses and animals that he loved to raise. As owner of the guest ranch, Curt met several interesting people and befriended them. After many years of ranching, Curt moved on again, and it was during this transition that he met his current wife Alma Cordova. Curt and Alma had been married for over 42 loving years, and during those years they raised a beautiful family of three and built a life together. Curt and Alma worked diligently to create their own agricultural crop spraying business, known as Eagle Ag. Service, and it was through this business that Curt met a variety of new people and new friends. Curt is survived by his Lovely Wife Alma C. Hemme and his caring children Linda, Ann, Kris and his son "Little" Kurt Hemme. Curt was a loving husband, a caring father, a great brother and a compassionate friend. Curt Hemme lived his life giving as much as he could to those who needed and was always willing to go out of his way to defend those who were in trouble. Friends and family of Curtis L. Visitation will be on Tuesday February, 28, 2012 between the hours of 4:00 p.m-9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. Scripture Service will be said at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
