CSM Edward Joseph Karasinski

CSM Edward J. Karasinski, 84 (US ARMY Retired) passed away January 16, 2011 in El Paso, TX. He was born on March 4, 1926 in Larkesville, PA to loving parents, Anthony Karasinski and Julia Shirlits Karasinski who preceded him in death. He proudly served our Country for 30 years during World War II, The Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. He earned many awards including The Purple Heart and The Bronze Star. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Karolina M. Weinzierl; wife, Suk Cha Orthober; son, Edward P. Karasinski; brothers: Anthony, Joseph, Rudy, and Adam; and sisters: Mary Karasinski, Josephine Karasinski, Julia Zdunczyc, Helen Zalewski, and Stacia Warakomski. He is survived by son, Anthony; daughter, Patricia Malone; step-daughters: Dawn McNair and Gia Yi; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9-10am Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast with a Committal Service to follow at 10:30am, Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
