Corinne Lopez

Corinne Lopez, 50, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso, graduating from Ysleta High School in 1989. She received her Nursing degree in 2003 and chose to focus on children. She worked as a NICU nurse and elementary school nurse for much of her career. The compassion and strength that she brought to her job every day was also evident in her personal life, where family and friends were her main focus. She gave her own time and energy to care for her mother during her final years, and she was a tremendous source of strength for the family during periods of difficulty and loss. Cori was a loving and devoted mother, raising three wonderful children who were the greatest source of joy in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Esther Lopez, and her brother Jorge Lopez. She is survived by her son Kevin, daughter Alexis, son Tristan, brother and sister-in-law Agustin and Tanya, sister-in-law Jessica, niece Serena and nephews Diego and Jacob. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home - Americas, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
