Concepcion “Connie” Baeza, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 6, 2016. Born in Chicago, she was a Chicago Cubs fan. Connie worked at the Popular Department Store for over 20 years but ended her career as a cafeteria baker for YISD. She enjoyed bingo, cake decorating, clipping coupons and sewing. In her final years she took comfort in watching Food Network & Family Feud as well as reading her favorite magazines. Mom, “We’ll love you forever. We’ll like you for always. As long as we’re living our Mommy you’ll be.” Survived by sister, Virginia Elias, brothers, Frank Elias, Hilario Elias, and Henry Elias, sons Marcus Baeza, Martin Baeza, daughters Mary Aguinaga, Margaret Baeza, and grandchildren Christine Jones, Alexander Aguinaga, Rachel Baeza, Cruz & Elisa Lopez. Visitation Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina.
