Clinton E. Winstead Jr. (Curley) Born 18 September 1923 in Manchester, Tennessee Died 14 October 2009 in El Paso, Texas Husband to MaryAnn and father of 9 children: Richard, Russell, Michael, Julie, Janet, Robin, John, James, and Betsy. Survived by 3 brothers, Harold, Ed, and Lloyd of Manchester, Tennessee and 15 Grandchildren. Curley served in the U.S. Army 1948-1952 and then retired after 38 years of Civil Service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He was a gifted electronics technician and biomedical engineer. Curley enjoyed auto mechanics, guitar playing, his junkyard hobbies, and reading and collecting books. He died after a rugged battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity. Graveside services will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 9:00a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather after the funeral. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
