Clifford A. Wells

September 8, 1950 — September 6, 2012

Clifford Allen Wells, 61, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2012, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Victoria A. Wells; sons Bryan A. Wells (Dawn) and Clifford A. Wells II (Amy); daughter Jennifer W. Miller (Shawn); and granddaughters Aleksandria Wheeler, Jenavieve Wheeler, and Dakota Riley Wells--the true love of his life. He is also survived by brothers Fred (Shirley) and Kenneth (Jody); sisters Mary, Edith, Leila (Wally), Betty (Chris), Wesley (Bill), Rilla (Jack), and Linda; and many nieces, nephews, and great friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sally D. Wells, father Wesley W. Wells, mother Edith E. Wells, brother Walton S. Wells, and sister Elizabeth Wells. Cliff was born in El Paso, Texas, on September 8, 1950. He spent his entire career in the reprographics business, working at Complete Reprographics, Sun Country Reprographics, and Office Service Center, and was sorely missed when he retired. Cliff loved his granddaughters and would rather play with them than do anything else. He was a wonderful man, always ready to help anyone who needed it. Once retired, he became the jack of all trades for all the neighborhood ladies, and some men, who needed his help. He saved family, friends, and neighbors countless thousands of dollars because he could do virtually anything, from plumbing and electrical work to mowing lawns! He loved the sport of racing. He was a highly regarded mechanic and was sought after for performance engine building. He loved his country and was an outspoken advocate for it. He will be missed by everyone. Cliff has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass, on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 11:00 am. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following at the Northgate Christian Church hall, 5430 Yvette Ave. Please join us. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Rescue Mission of El Paso.
