Clara Jo Vogel

Clara Jo Vogel, age 82, passed away on December 9, 2023, in Frisco, Texas. She was born on November 28, 1941, in Starks, Louisiana to Ella (Perkins) and Claude Johnson. On March 2, 1996, Jo married Burt L. Vogel in El Paso, Texas. Jo worked as a Manager in the Service industry before retiring.

Jo is survived by her three children, Douglas Patrick McDonald of El Paso, Texas, Yvette Stacy Collester and her husband, Stephen of Little Elm, Texas, Colette Tracy Greenhill and her husband, Michael of Buchanan, Georgia; her four grandchildren, Hope Hatfield, Caitlin McDonald, Justin Cade Greenhill, and Gavin Lee Greenhill; her two great-granddaughters, Avery Rose Greenhill and Emerson Ray Greenhill; her sisters, Dele Francis and her husband Pat, Patricia White, Karen Lynn, Doll Egyabroad and Codia Goebel with her husband David along with her brother Webb Johnson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews including Kimberly Renee Myrick, Britt Scott Myrick and Vanda Lynn Grove and their spouses.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Burt; her parents, Ella, and Claude Johnson; her two brothers, Gary Johnson, and Tony Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.  Funeral Service will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.  Committal Service to follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Drive.
