Christa Maria Brown

Christa “Mema” Klara Brown was born in Wurzburg, Germany on September 27, 1941, and passed away peacefully at home in El Paso, Texas on March 30, 2023 at 11:35pm.  Some of her last words were “Don’t worry, by happy.”

Chris enjoyed waitressing at Denny’s for 30 plus years, dancing on tables at Oktoberfest, throwing the biggest parties in El Paso, and giving her entire heart to those she loved.  She never failed to make her friends feel like family, and make her family feel like the luckiest people in the world.

Christa is survived by her daughter, Corinna Reed; adopted daughter, Beate Kruger (Duane); grandchildren, Jacob (Brenda) and Joseph Davis, Melissa Doeden (Johnny); great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jordan, Kyleigh, Haden and Zayne Davis, and by so many dear friends.

She is proceed in death by her mother Maria Ottilia Ruger; father Karl Anton Ruger; and husband, David Carl Brown.

A Celebration of Life will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.  Services are open to anybody that has a memory to share of such a beautiful, one of a kind woman.  As Christa would always say, “Have a good, and pass it on!
