Chris E. Carl, 77 passed away on 11 Jan 2008. He was born in Montana on 10 Feb 1930. He enlisted in the Army and served 21 years and 21 days. He met and married his wife, Marianne in Higham Ferrers, England. After his retirement he worked for Safeway and later for Tri-State trucking until his retirement. In 1970 he helped found the Andress Golden Eagle Band Boosters and was a booster while his daughters and later when his granddaughter were in the band. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marianne of El Paso and two daughters Sharon (Kenneth) of El Paso, Jeanette (Darrell) of Topeka, Kansas. His grandchildren Allison (Aaron) of El Paso, Brandon (Jessica) of Topeka, Kansas, Patricia of El Paso and John (Corina) of El Paso, and great grandchildren Emma, Kierren, Bradyn and Garrett, his brother Ray of Montana and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a best friend to many, a Dad to a selected few and a Gamp to those who didn’t know theirs. Honorary Pallbearers are John Hoban, Brandon Humphreys, Aaron Rudd, Scott Deemer, Ken Hoban, Mark, Michael and Chris Kapuscik and George Suite. Memorial Service at 9:00 am, Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1810 Elm St. Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
