It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Charlie Hardy on March 16, 2016. His life on earth was blessed abundantly with a kind heart, a beautiful smile and is being celebrated by his family, loved ones, and many friends. Charlie was born November 11, 1966 in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Edellmira; his children, Charlie Ray, Andrew and Ashley Ortega; his spouse, Bernadette; three grandchildren and a sister Maria Kraft. He is preceded in death by his father Stokes and two brothers. Charlie graduated from Irvin High School where he played football and was on the wrestling team. He was named Mr. High School El Paso in 1985 and served in the Air Force right after high school where he was a military policeman. He was a loving person that went out of his way to help others anyway he could. Many of his high school buddies admired his commitment to keep them safe from harm. Charlie lately was residing in Carlsbad, New Mexico and working in the oil fields as a truck driver. This was something that he loved doing.
