Charles Frank Serna

Charles Frank Serna, 66, passed away on February 21, 2011. Charlie was born on July 24, 1944 in Hatch, NM to Ramon and Rosie Serna. He was well known to the surrounding communities. He loved baseball, collecting sports cards, and socializing. He was a great husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed but, remembered forever. He is survived by wife Martha Serna. Children: Michelle and her husband Carlos, Jennifer and her husband Patrick, Terry and husband Juan, Charlie Jr. and wife Sarah, Frankie and wife Maria, Roseann, Connie, Robert, and Gabriel; 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 19 grandchildren, and 11 great grand children, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Ramon Serna, mother Rosie Serna, brother Tommy, sisters Joanne and Mary Alice. Services will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Anthony, NM: Visitation will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. Prayer vigil will start at 7:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be held on Monday morning at 10 A.M also at St. Anthony’s Church; Internment will follow at the Anthony Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Juan Lara, Patrick Bustillos, Carlos Rivera, Charlie Serna Jr., Frankie Serna, Gabriel Serna, Robert Serna, and Simon Sapien. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sunny Jaquez and Manuel Quintanilla. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
