Charles Kurt McGill

Charles Kurt McGill passed away on February 9, 2011 in El Paso, Texas. Mr. McGill was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on May 31, 1949, son of the late Frank and Lillian McGill. He grew up in Opp, Alabama and graduated from Opp High School in 1967. He attended Livingston University on a football scholarship, where he received his degree in accounting and finance. He made El Paso his home for many years and was involved in wholesale food distribution. He was an avid golfer, political and history buff, long time fan and supporter of Alabama football and basketball. He was a loving father of two children and adoring gradfather of three. Everyday was spent trying to better the lives of all he loved and cared for. He is survived by his wife Martha, son Todd and daughter Christy. Grandchildren Blake, Jordan, and Amya, all of El Paso, Texas. Sisters, Jean (Jimmy) Harrelson, Jan (John) Tomberlin of Enterprise, Alabama Brother, Bartley (Judith) McGill of El Paso, Texas. Many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Wake will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Sunset Funeral Homes-West.
