Charles J. Maly, 76, of El Paso, TX passed from this life suddenly on October 28, 2016. Although he hailed from Chicago, the son of Charles P. Maly and Eillen M. Trawle, he has lived in the Sun City since 1948. He attended Ysleta High School and what is now UTEP where he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pho. He worked in Broadcast from his time at KVOF to KTSM finishing his career at KDBC-TX. He was very involved in community activities and was proud of his participation in the Lions Club and the University Sports Programs. Since leaving broadcast he has traveled the United States working in the transportation industry most recently with Russell Transport. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deborah Maly; son, Charles Cody Maly; daughter, Laurie Ann Maly; and six grandchildren: Phillip M. Minnick, Victoria Seaman, Patrick Seaman, Charles M. Maly all in El Paso, Ms. Emily Dillow of North Carolina, Toby McQueen of Cincinnati, OH. He was expecting his first great grandchild the future Aarron Kriner, and sister Cathy Willson. Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina.
