Charles Patrick Doyle

DOYLE CHARLES PATRICK DOYLE (“Charlie”) passed away peacefully in his El Paso home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 84. Charlie was born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York in 1933. He was a gentle, loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed. He was an urban educator and Associate Dean of the School of Education at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. for twenty-four years. He retired in El Paso. He and his wife, Pat, became members of St. Patrick Cathedral and of the Criminal Justice/Restorative Justice Ministry. They helped to found a faith-based home for men returning from incarceration called Isaiah House of El Paso. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat, his adult children; Kerry (Simon Chandler), Mark, Cathy (Michael Willman), and 6 grandchildren; Carlos, Owen, Orla, Fiona, Vivian and Ronan, all of whom were his pride and joy. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N.
