Charles "Chuck" Crawford

Charles “Chuck” Crawford, 82, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 with his family by his side. Chuck was born in Lansing Michigan. He served his county during the Korean War in the OCS detachment of the 4054th ASU at Fort Bliss. He graduated from General Motors Institue in 1958 and was a Senior Project Engineer for the Oldsmobile divison of General Motors. After retiring from Oldsmobile in 1982, he moved to El Paso, where he worked as a tax preparer. He is survived by his wife Blanca; their children Cristina Crawford, Susan Crawford and Charlene Applegate; son-in-law Peter Everett; grandchildren Charles Buycks, Cathy and Cindy Everett, and Michelle, Steven and Michael Applegate; and many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for the loving care Chuck received from Maggie from CIMA Hospice. Irma, Sofia, Mari, Adriana and many others who provided care during the final years of his life. Visitations will be from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, Monday, December 10, 2012 with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-West. Graveside Services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West.
