Charles W. “Charlie” Cook died peacefully on April 16, 2018 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 84.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Jacque; children, Tony Cook, Tracy Hughes and step-son Brant Megason; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, David Cook and Derrell Cook. He is preceded in death by parents, Johnnie and Anna Lee Cook; first wife, Juanita Cook; and grandson, James Cook.
Charlie was born on August 14, 1933 in Ranger, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the El Paso Fire Department as a Lieutenant.
Charlie was an accomplished singer and guitar player in his local band, Charlie Cook and the Country Cavaliers. He was a talented individual who loved Country and Bluegrass music.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Restoration Fellowship, 10200 Album, El Paso, Texas, with graveside at Ft. Bliss at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018. The services will be officiated by Gary Wilcox. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie’s life.
