Charles “Charlie” W. Bush, 77, is at peace after a long illness. On March 8, 2009, he went to be with his Lord. Charlie was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 19, 1931. He joined the US Army National Guard in 1948 and re-enlisted in the regular US Army in 1953. At the young age of 24, Charlie applied for Warrant Officer and was appointed Warrant Officer in December 1955 while stationed in Fort Bliss, TX. Most of his military career was spent in Air Defense Artillery, starting with Nike AJAX then the Hercules Systems ending with Patriot. He served our country for 38 years. After military retirement he continued in his military field as a project manager with RAM for three years and then with Technical Assistance International for three years. Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor, four sons, Charles, Mark and wife Gelaine, Eric, Patrick, and ex-daughter-in-law, Roxann. There are four grandchildren, Nathan, Czarena Faye, Qian, and Loren. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Committal Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, March 13, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
