Charles H. Brown

Charles H. Brown (U.S. Army Ret), died peacefully with his family by his side on January 7, 2009. Born in Virginia on May 30, 1920 he led a long, adventurous life. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and Vietnam, retiring with 30 years of service. After his retirement, he began a second career with the City of El Paso, where he worked for 10 years. He continued to volunteer with AARP assisting seniors with tax preparation, traveling and playing bridge. He was preceeded in death by his wife Florence, and daughter Pamela. He is survived by his two daughters; Marsha Gale and Sally Gracey and four granddaughters. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery .
