Cecilia Valles

Cecilia Valles changed what it means to survive. She was 50 years old when she passed away Friday January 13, 2017. Even though cancer was her enemy, it never defined who she was or consumed her life. Her optimism and love was contagious. Her will to live thrived daily. Her heart shined most when she hosted and entertained gatherings for friends and family. As a 1984 Socorro high school graduate she keep close to people and friends in her community. With such a good heart she was an asset to the medical field as a medical assistant and marketer. Born July 25, 1966 to Jose and Delia Leyva, she became a daughter to a family who will forever miss her. As a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother she will survive in our memories and hearts. She was an example of strength when she smiled daily and her outlook on life taught us to appreciate every moment. This is what she taught to, not only her children but to everyone who knew her. Through this she changed our lives and will survive. A Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
