Cecil Rose Bear

Cecil Rose Lipscomb Bear, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed on to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 21 in El Paso, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother; Rosamond Allen Lipscomb Black, and father; Cecil Goodrich Lipscomb. Cecil comes from a long line of Texas Heritage, which she was extremely proud of. Cecil attended Austin High School and graduated in 1946. She then attended Texas Women University from 1947-49 in Denton, Texas. Her father’s early death brought her back to El Paso where she began working with GMAC for 30 years. In retirement she achieved the honor of Master Gardener. Cecil was chairman and organizer of the 50 year Austin High School reunion. Cecil has been an active member of “Discover El Paso” where she and her husband, Jerry Bear, were due to receive the award for “Member of the Year” she was very excited about this award, she has always done work for the community. Cecil is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Jerry Bear , daughters and sons-in-law; Rosanne Orona (George), Lynn Hamilton, sons and daughters-in-law; Mark Kilmer, Lonnie Bear(Arthi), Greg Kilmer (Cathee), grandchildren; Victoria Rosa Orona, Christopher D. Orona, Brandon R. Bear, Landry J. Bear and Shannon Kilmer. Graveside Service will be at 11 am Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are welcome! Mom loves flowers.
